Lisbon’s Mercado Gourmet (Gourmet Market) takes place from 8th to 10th of March in Campo Pequeno in Lisbon. You’ll find that this Gourmet Market event is very much worth exploring, as you walk around and turn those corners you’ll discover a myriad of Portuguese’s fine products. The stalls offer a range of products from national smoked and cured meats, cheeses, traditional pastries and organic products. You can purchase some pates, jams, olive oil, chocolate, honey, herbs, pastries, canned speciality goods, condiments and tea. You can also find some fine Portuguese wines and liqueurs. All products sold and presented at this annual market are made exclusively in Portugal and are sold directly by the producers themselves. The event has been created to contribute to the promotion and sustainability of the micro food producers and introducing their high-quality products to the general public. For anyone interested in health in general,   this event provides an opportunity to experience a healthy side to travel. You will find delights from different regions of Portugal and meet the producers in person. This event is free and the doors open from 11 am until 9pm.
